KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot Is Now Open in West Omaha
If you are looking for a new restaurant in Omaha that is as much about the experience as it is the food, there is a brand new option at Village Pointe.
KPOT Korean BBQ and Hot Pot officially opened its first Nebraska location in Omaha on September 7, 2026.
Located at 305 North 170th Street in Village Pointe Shopping Center, KPOT brings two interactive dining experiences together under one roof.
You can grill Korean BBQ right at your table.
You can build your own hot pot.
Or, if choosing sounds impossible, you can do both.
For this edition of Discover Omaha, we are heading to West Omaha to take a look at one of the newest restaurants in Douglas County and what you can expect when you visit.
What Is KPOT?
KPOT is an all you can eat restaurant combining Korean BBQ with Asian hot pot.
The company got its start in New Jersey in 2018 and has since expanded across the country.
The Omaha restaurant is the first KPOT location in Nebraska.
Instead of simply ordering an entree and waiting for it to arrive, KPOT makes cooking part of the experience.
With Korean BBQ, guests select meats, seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients and cook them on a grill built directly into the table.
Hot pot works a little differently.
You choose a broth and add ingredients like meat, seafood, vegetables, noodles, and other items to cook right at your seat.
The result is a meal you can completely customize based on what you like.
What Is Korean BBQ?
If you have never tried Korean BBQ before, the biggest difference is that you are doing the cooking.
Your table has its own grill, and you order different meats and other ingredients to cook and share.
That means instead of everyone ordering one entree, the table can try a variety of different things throughout the meal.
It is social, interactive, and definitely not designed to be a rushed dinner.
KPOT also has sauces and accompaniments that allow you to experiment with different combinations as you go.
And if you have no idea what you are doing the first time, that is okay.
Part of the experience is figuring out what you like.
What Is Hot Pot?
Hot pot follows the same interactive idea but swaps the grill for broth.
You select a broth and then cook ingredients directly in it at your table.
Depending on what you choose, that might include thinly sliced meat, seafood, vegetables, tofu, noodles, and other ingredients.
Everyone can customize the experience based on their own preferences.
That is part of what makes hot pot fun for a group.
You are not necessarily all eating the exact same meal even though you are sharing the experience.
Can You Do Korean BBQ and Hot Pot Together?
Yes.
At the Omaha KPOT, guests can choose Korean BBQ, hot pot, or both.
Adding both experiences costs an additional $5 per person.
There is one thing to know before you arrive.
The entire table has to choose the same format.
So everyone at the table selects Korean BBQ, hot pot, or the combination of both.
There is also a two hour dining limit.
Considering that you are ordering, cooking, experimenting, and probably trying quite a few different things along the way, this is definitely more of an experience than a quick lunch stop.
How Much Does KPOT Omaha Cost?
KPOT uses an all you can eat pricing model.
For lunch, which is offered Monday through Friday from opening until 4 p.m., the current adult price is $21.99.
Lunch pricing for children ages four through six is $7.99, while children ages seven through ten are $11.99.
Dinner begins at 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and is served all day on weekends and holidays.
Adult dinner is currently $31.99.
Children ages four through six are $11.99, and children ages seven through ten are $15.99.
If you want both Korean BBQ and hot pot, add $5 per person.

The restaurant took over the former Johnny's Italian Steakhouse building at Village Pointe Shopping Center.
Its location makes it easy to turn dinner into an entire afternoon or evening in West Omaha.
Village Pointe has shopping, restaurants, entertainment, Marcus Theatres, fitness businesses, and other attractions throughout the development.
There are also seasonal events held at Village Pointe throughout the year.
What Are KPOT Omaha's Hours?
KPOT Omaha is currently open seven days a week.
Sunday through Thursday, hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday and Saturday, hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
The last seating is one hour before closing.
Since the Omaha restaurant is still very new, it is always a good idea to check current hours before heading over.
Why This Is a Fun Addition to West Omaha
West Omaha certainly is not lacking restaurants.
But KPOT brings something different.
There is a difference between going somewhere to eat and going somewhere where eating is the activity.
KPOT falls into that second category.
It could be a fun option for a date night, dinner with friends, a birthday, family dinner with older kids or teenagers, or simply a night when you want to try something you have not done before.
And its arrival also says something about how the Omaha dining scene continues to change.
As the Omaha metro grows, we continue to see restaurant concepts and businesses entering the market that previously required a trip to a larger city.

The area surrounding Village Pointe continues to be one of the busiest commercial areas in West Omaha.
Village Pointe itself combines restaurants, retail, entertainment, fitness, and community events in an outdoor shopping center near 168th Street and West Dodge Road.
